About Us

Lady Crimson Cloth Emporium is a unique small business located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. While it began from Sophie’s dream to make cloth menstrual pads and accessories, it has since grown to include many handcrafted reusable products. This includes reusable paper towel and wipes, wet bags, and many other eco-friendly products.
Sophie stumbled on the idea while surfing YouTube one day. Her family was always looking for new ways to cut back on wasteful products as well as saving money, so she decided to sew a few pads to try them out herself! Her newfound passion for cloth pads was so overwhelming, she immediately began sharing her story with her friends and family. Sophie was pleasantly surprised at the positive response and decided to create a business. She then spent several months researching and learning everything she could about fabrics, in order to create a high quality, absorbent product for menstruators!
Since the beginning, and over the course of 6 years, Sophie has changed thousands of peoples menstrual routines as well as their mindset in regards to menstruating.
A much healthier and fun alternative with less waste which cuts back on none compostable garbage.
On the site, you can find plenty of fun prints and accessories to make the switch easy and seamless!

About LCCE Cloth Pads

Our goal is to offer a long lasting, absorbent and beautiful pad!  We tested shapes, and fabrics until we were satisfied with our results. As a small business, we enjoy supporting other makers, so we shop at our local sewing stores when possible, purchase patterns from hard working stay at home moms who create them, and get our amazing prints from small business print designers.

We use the following fabrics for the top layer: Cotton Lycra, Minky, Performance Pique and Cotton Velour or Organic Bamboo Velour.

The types of fabrics we use for the absorbency layer (Core) is Zorb for our moderates and heavies/postpartum.

-Zorb is the leading absorbent fabric on the market. It absorbs 10 times its weight in under 2 seconds. It soaks up 20 times faster than other materials such as bamboo, cotton, hemp and knits which makes it the perfect fabric for our moderate and heavy pads. It is breathable, ecofriendly, hypo-allergenic, PFOA free, PFAS free and BPA free. The fabric is a blend of several natural and polyester fibers.

-LCCE pads are marked with a small tag. On the bag of the tag a letter will indicate what absorbency the pad is

No letters is for liner

M for moderate

H for heavy

HP for heavy plus/ night time/ postpartum

All our pads (other then the liners) are backed with a virtually waterproof, breathable and thin softshell fleece.
